Redondo Beach Farmers Market - Every Thursday, 8 AM to 1 PM, located in front of Veterans Park at the western end of Torrance Boulevard, corner of Catalina Avenue. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Free parking validation is provided for one hour in the Redondo Beach Pier Parking Structure.

The Beach Cities of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach have many beach-centered events all year around. Check this calendar to see which ones fit your schedule for participation or watching.
January - Hermosa Beach Centennial Celebration began January 13, 2007 and culminates with the lowering of the time capsule event on Sunday, January 13, 2008 next to the clock on Pier Plaza, 11 AM to 12 Noon.
The Manhattan Beach Downtown Sidewalk Sale takes place on Friday, January 11, 2008. Stroll through the downtown area and take advantage of some super post-holiday sales!
February - 56th Centennial Sand & Strand Race, February 24, 2008, 8 AM start, starts on the North side of the Hermosa Beach Pier. Additional Information City of Hermosa Beach.
Redondo Beach Super Bowl Run, February 3, 2008, Run, Walk or Stroll in the Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Fun Walk and Baby Buggy 10K - begins at 7 AM. Also includes a Costume Contest!
El Camino College begins its Spring Semester on February 9, 2008.
March - Hermosa Beach St Patrick's Day Parade, March 15, 2008, 11 AM start. The parade steps off at Pier Ave. and Valley, marches west on Pier then South on Hermosa Avenue where it disbands at Eighth Street. Additional Information Hermosa Beach Calendar.
April - The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce sponsors its annual Women in Business Conference on Friday, April 18, 2008. For information Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.
The Hermosa Beach Surfer's Walk of Fame Induction ceremony takes place at 11 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Hermosa Beach invites fans to recognize the men and women who have made a difference and contributed to the sport of surfing in Hermosa Beach.
The Richstone Pier to Pier Walk, benefitting the Richstone Family Center to help prevent and treat child abuse, takes place this year on Saturday, April 26, 2008, 7:30 to 9:30 AM. Walkers begin at the Manhattan Beach Pier, walk to the Hermosa Pier and end back at the Manhattan Beach Pier.
May - The Hermosa Beach Dog Parade and Trick Show is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2008. Join Hermosa Beach Friends of the Parks and the City of Hermosa Beach for the Annual Dog Parade and Trick Show. All dogs and their owners are invited to participate in the Dog Parade and Trick Show. The festivities will begin at 11:00am with registration at Pier and Valley, on the Greenbelt. The parade will start at Pier and Valley and head north along the Greenbelt to Valley Park. Following the parade, enjoy a Trick show in the Valley Park amphitheatre. The community is invited to cheer on pet owners and their pups along the parade route and at the Trick show. All entries in the show will be judged and everyone's a winner! Participation in the parade and Trick show are free. Come down and show off your pet and enjoy a leisurely walk with fellow dog owners. All dogs must be on a leash. No cats allowed. Hermosa Beach Fiesta de las Artes, May 24-26, 2008 in downtown Hermosa Beach. The three-day event, organized by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce, will include over three hundred vendors, food booths, children's rides, entertainment stages and a beer garden. www.FiestaHermosa.com.
The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament takes place this year on Monday, May 12, 2008 at Candlewood Country Club. Contact the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce to participate.
June - The AVP Hermosa Beach Open will be held on June 6-8, 2008 on sands of Hermosa Beach. This is a 2-man Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament with both Men’s and Women’s divisions. The event is televised nationally on Fox Sports Network.

September - Hermosa Beach Fiesta de las Artes, August 30 to September 1, 2008. The Fiesta is a three-day event organized by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and takes place in downtown Hermosa along Hermosa Avenue, Pier Avenue and Pier Plaza. December - In Manhattan Beach, the City will have its 19th Annual Pier Lighting ceremony 4:30 to 6:30 on Sunday, December 6, 2008 at the Manhattan Beach Pier. There will be musical entertainment and maybe a Santa Claus sighting! See http://www.citymb.info. And on Sunday, December 14, 2008 the annual Fireworks Display will begin at 6:30 near the Manhattan Beach Pier.
The Hermosa Beach tree-lighting ceremony takes place Thursday, December 4, 2008 beginning at 6 PM at the Pier Plaza. Santa Clause will be available to visit with the children.
Redondo Beach's 2008 annual tree lighting ceremony takes place at the Redondo Beach Civic Center, 415 Diamond Street on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 beginning at 5 PM. There will holiday music, hot cider and holiday cookies.
